TryRap Generated Content License

The personal and commercial permissions attached to Free, monthly, and qualifying annual TryRap attempts

Effective September 13, 2026

This Generated Content License ("License") explains what you may do with a song, recording, lyric, or other creative artifact made through TryRap. It is part of the Service Terms, which control if the two documents conflict.

Start with the label saved on the attempt

Rights do not change merely because a subscription changes later. TryRap uses the plan and billing cadence saved when an artifact was created:

Status at creationContractual permission
FreePersonal, non-commercial license; public workflow and attribution rules apply
Monthly Starter, Plus, or ProPersonal, non-commercial license; attribution applies when shared
Annual Starter, Plus, or ProEligible artifacts receive the ownership and commercial grant below

A cover, extension, split, removal, analysis, or conversion does not erase limits attached to an underlying source.

1. Your source material

You keep whatever rights you already own in text, lyrics, audio, and other material you submit. TryRap receives only the limited permission required to host, copy, transmit, process, store, and return that material while providing the Service.

You promise that you have authorization for the requested use. This License cannot supply permission for another person's composition, recording, lyrics, voice, identity, likeness, or trademark.

2. Free attempts

TryRap retains its interest in content generated through the Free plan. We give you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use that content personally and non-commercially.

You may share a Free artifact with reasonable credit, such as “Made with TryRap (tryrap.com).” You may not monetize it, sell it, sublicense it, distribute it for commercial gain, place it in a stock marketplace, or claim ownership or copyright in it.

Free songs may be displayed publicly and may expire under the retention period shown in the Service. Upgrading after creation does not convert them into owned or commercially licensed content.

3. Monthly paid attempts

Monthly Starter, Plus, and Pro plans can unlock product features such as privacy, downloads, additional models, storage, and editing tools. Those features do not change the license category: an artifact made under monthly billing is for personal, non-commercial use.

Reasonable TryRap attribution is required when monthly content is shared. Monthly content may not be sold, monetized, sublicensed, or delivered as commercial client, advertising, or product material.

4. Qualifying annual attempts

An artifact qualifies for the annual grant only if it is eligible generated content, it was created during an active annual Starter, Plus, or Pro subscription, and the applicable annual charge was fully paid.

For a qualifying artifact, TryRap transfers to you the rights TryRap holds in the generated composition, recording, vocal or instrumental song, and generated lyrics. The transfer continues permanently after the annual term later expires or is canceled.

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • reproduce, distribute, perform, display, or broadcast the artifact;
  • edit, arrange, remix, synchronize, combine, or adapt it;
  • publish it through music, video, social, broadcast, game, software, or physical-media channels;
  • use it in advertising, branding, products, client work, and performances;
  • monetize or license it for another lawful commercial project; and
  • apply for registration in your own name where the law and artifact permit it.

No further TryRap royalty or commercial-use charge is due for that qualifying artifact, and TryRap credit is optional.

5. Boundaries of the grant

TryRap transfers only rights it has. The copyright status of AI-generated material is not uniform and may depend on jurisdiction and human contribution. We do not represent that a result is original, unique, exclusive, registrable, protected by copyright, or clear of third-party claims.

The annual grant does not clear a sample, source recording, lyric, voice, performer identity, name, likeness, or brand supplied by you or appearing in the result. You are responsible for review, permissions, disclosures, platform compliance, and lawful release.

6. Commercial License Certificates

For an eligible song, TryRap may provide a Commercial License Certificate that records the annual commercial status attached at creation. Asking for a certificate after an upgrade does not make an older Free or monthly attempt eligible.

The certificate is evidence of TryRap's own entitlement record. It does not enlarge the License, create statutory copyright, confirm source clearance, or guarantee uniqueness or non-infringement.

7. Edits and combined works

You can edit or combine a qualifying annual artifact within the grant above. When the new work also contains material subject to a different license, every applicable source restriction remains in place. Converting or transforming a file does not remove a third party's rights.

8. What remains TryRap property

The Service—not your qualifying artifact—includes TryRap's software, interfaces, site design, graphics, documentation, models, logos, and trademarks. Those platform elements remain owned by TryRap or its licensors and are not transferred under this License.

9. Availability, suspension, and liability

TryRap may restrict Service access under the Service Terms. A valid creation-time grant is not withdrawn only because an account or subscription later ends.

Artifacts and tools are offered “as is” and “as available.” The warranty exclusions and liability limits in the Service Terms apply here.
